Today we want to share a great feature buried within iOS 15 and macOS Monterey that will instantly make your audio and video calls sound much better with a how-to guide below.
How to activate Voice Isolation mode on iOS


- On your iOS device (iPhone or iPad) make sure you are running iOS 15 or later
- To check your OS version, Open the Settings app
- Select About
- Under Software Version check for 15.x, currently we have 15.5 installed
- Start a Facetime call (you won’t see the Mice Mode button if not in a Facetime call)
- Pull down the Control Center from the upper left corner of your iPhone or iPad, if an iPhone with a home button like the iPhone SE pull Control Center up from the bottom right.
- Select the highlighted Mic Mode button
- Then select Voice Isolation mode
- Enjoy!
How to activate Voice Isolation mode on a Mac

- On your Mac make sure you are running macOS Monterey or later
- To check your OS version, Open the Settings app
- Select About
- Under Software Version check for macOS Monterey
- Start a Facetime call (you won’t see the Mice Mode button if not in a Facetime call)
- Open Control Center
- Select the highlighted Mic Mode button
- Then select Voice Isolation mode
- Enjoy!
