Google has announced its answer to Apple’s AirPods Pro, the Pixel Buds Pro that offers active noise cancellation (ANC), transparency mode, multipoint Bluetooth connectivity and IPX4 water resistance rating and more.

The Pixel Buds Pro retains the design language of the past Pixel Buds and prior Pixel phone designs. They feature multiple mics that are required for ANC and the Pixel Buds Pro will be available in black, green, red and blue. In addition, the earbuds feature a custom six-core processor and speaker drivers with Rick Osterloh calling them “the best mobile audio hardware we’ve ever designed.”

The Pixel Buds Pro features sensors that actively adjust the fit to relieve pressure on your ear canal for the best and most comfortable fit. Google also provides three sizes of ear tips in the box.

Additionally, the Pixel Buds Pro features Fast Pair and Volume EQ which enables the buds to adjust volume based on your environment. They are also designed to automatically switch between paired Android devices without having to manually re-pair them, similarly to Apple’s AirPods Pro.

Pixel Buds Pro will support hands-free Google Assistant voice commands even when wind and traffic noises are present. They’ll be available to preorder alongside the also new Pixel 6A smartphone starting July 21st and in stores a week later on the 28th. The Pixel Buds Pro undercut Apple AirPods Pro by a whopping $50 and offer Android device users a great altenative.
