Starlink is now taking orders for a new Starlink Premium product that delivers up to 500Mbps with features “double the antenna capability of standard Starlink.” Orders are live with an expected ship date of “mid-2022.”

“Starlink Premium users can expect download speeds of 150-500 Mbps and latency of 20-40ms, enabling high throughput connectivity for small offices, storefronts, and super users across the globe.” Asper usual with Starlink “With Starlink, there are no long-term contracts, no data caps, and no exclusivity requirements.”

“SpaceX standard antenna production rises rapidly this year, so those with orders shouldn’t have to wait long. Note, Starlink can only support a limited number of users in an area, so best to order early,” Tweeted SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

Starlink Premium requires a $500 deposit with deliveries expected to start in Q2 2022. “Starlink Premium delivers the same low latency with higher throughput allocation to serve small offices of 10-20 users, storefronts, and residential locations across the globe,” the FAQ says. “Order as many Starlinks as needed, manage all of your service locations from a single account, and access 24/7 priority customer support.” Seems like an ideal option for a rural office location.

Starlink’s website says that “Starlink Premium users can expect download speeds of 150-500Mbps and latency of 20-40ms” and that the pricier tier “helps ensure bandwidth for critical operations even during times of peak network usage.” Premium also offers “improved performance in extreme weather conditions.” Shipments come with the user terminal and base, a Wi-Fi router, and cables.
