Nvidia’s GeForce Now app for LG TVs has exited beta and is now generally available on compatible LG TVs. The new app enables gamers to play PC games you own from stores like Steam and Epic Game Store, right on their TV without the need for a console for PC. If you have one of the compatible 2021 LG webOS TVs then you can hop over to the LG Content Store and install it now.

If you buy a compatible LG TV, Nvidia is offering six months of GeForce Now’s (RTX 3080 tier) Priority Tier if you buy one between February 1st and March 27th. With the inclusion of cloud gaming apps on smart TVs, cloud gaming has found the home that makes the most sense. Your TV is either on your Wi-Fi or plugged directly into your network with Ethernet and this fast connection enables a console-less and gaming-rig-less future. Alongside today’s news, Nvidia is also launching its new set of resolution upscaling features which are designed to modulate based on your network’s bandwidth rather than loosing frames. The three upscaling modes are standard (default), enhanced and AI-enhanced. The AI-enhanced mode offers better quality, but is only available on Nvidia Sheild or Nvidia GPU-equipped PCs. The new upscaling also works in reverse too, the feature can downscale content when your display resolution is lower then your streaming resolution.

Additionally, Nvidia announced a slate of newly available games available to stream: Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, Mortal Online 2, Daemon X Machina, Tropico 6, and Assassin’s Creed III Deluxe Edition.
