How to choose what drive your Xbox app PC game gets installed on

Microsoft is fixing a number of issues with the Xbox app on Windows 11 and Windows 10 PCs and is testing the changes with Xbox Insiders first. One of the standout features on the Xbox app is the ability to choose where you install a PC game you bought from the Xbox app and the ability to change where the game lives. Today we will walk our readers through how to choose the drive you want your game installed.

How to choose where a PC game bought from the Xbox app gets installed

Note: As of January 19th 2022, these features are only available for Xbox Insiders, but in the following weeks will be made available for everyone else.

1. Open the Xbox app
2. Navigate to a game you would like to install
3. Select the green Install button
4. Select the drive from a list of your connected drives to install the game to
5. Either select Install all or select Choose what to install
