Microsoft is now testing a new feature within an updated insider version of the Xbox app for Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs. Below we will guide you through how to try the new insider version of the Xbox app for Windows 10 and Windows 11.

How to try the Insider version of the Xbox app

• Update your Xbox app to the latest version 2112.1001.9.0 on your Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC
• Open the Xbox app
• A dialog box will notify you of the new Insider tab in the navigation bar in the top ribbon
• Select the Insider icon (astronaut helmet)
• This will either open your Xbox Insider app or open the Microsoft Store and prompt you to install it

• Once the Insider version of the Xbox app is installed, you will notice either a label that says Should play great on this PC or Performance check not available yet
• Future updates will see updated labels and we should see less labels with Performance check not available yet
