Disney built a true Windows UWP Disney+ app just before the launch of Windows 11, available in the Microsoft Store now

Disney launched their Disney+ Windows UWP app on Xbox a few years ago and we even guided you through the process of installing Xbox apps like Disney+ on your Windows 10 PCs and while the experience of using an Xbox app on a PC wasn’t great, it got the job done. Today Aggiornameti Lumia spotted that Disney finally launched a PC optimized version of their Xbox UWP app and is available in the Microsoft Store for both Windows 11 and Windows 10 PCs.

Say hello to the new Microsoft Store on Windows 11

The new Disney+ app is a native UWP XAML with WinUI 2.6 like the Xbox app, making it a welcome addition for Windows PCs owners who are also Disney+ subscribers, delivering an Apple-like level of quality to the native app experience. It offers a good touch experience along with offering an optimized mouse and keyboard experience. Unfortunately, there is no native ARM support but on Windows 11 the 64-bit app is support with emulation. You can download and install the Disney+ app directly from Microsoft here.
