Google’s Sundar Pichai teases ‘significant product announcements’ for Google I/O 2021

Because of the economic impact of the lockdowns, Google pulled back on new product launches and skipped Google I/O entirely, but now Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai is telling investors to expect “significant product updates and announcements” at Google’s I/O conference next month.

Google’s Chrome and Chrome OS development was significantly slowed last year while the company chose to prioritize security and stability updates over new features, the same can be said for Android’s development. Will we see major operating system announcements and perhaps the reveal of Google Silicon devices for the purposes of getting developers on board with any new changes and advancements? We will have to wait till next month to find out.
