In a bigger effort to convert more iPhone owners, Samsung today launched a new web app called “iTest.” The iTest web app gives iPhone users a small taste of a Galaxy device.
How to experience a Galaxy on your iPhone
- visit https://itest.nz/ and scan the QR code with your iPhone to visit the site. Yes that’s right .nz, this app is being advertised in New Zealand, but is accessible everywhere.
- Once on the site you will be prompted to add the web app to your home screen
- Find the web app on your home screen and tap it to enter the Galaxy experience
You will be presented with the current Galaxy interface, where you can swipe, tap and explore apps like the Galaxy Store, Gallery, Galaxy Wearable, Galaxy Themes and more…oh wait how am I getting a phone call from Sam on this right now? The web app sends you generic text messages and even calls you with someone called Sam, a female actually named Sam. She says that she is gad you are trying out the experience and so on. Back to theming, there are a number of themes included that you can apply to your virtual home screen, which allows you to get a real sense of the customization options.
Samsung says –
You’re about to get a little taste of Samsung, without changing phones. We can’t replicate every function, but you should quickly see that there’s nothing daunting about switching to the other side.
