In the Land of Trillion Dollar Goliaths | Apple and Google hold all the cards

It has certainly been an interesting year…so far. At Platform De.Central we have been focused on antitrust issues regarding platform power since day one. It is core to our mission – Work x Play without limits. Today we use our devices to be productive, creative and sometimes blowoff some steam with a good gaming session. Our tech is governed by a number of companies who are primarily looking out for their own profits and often use protectionist anti-competitive tactics that include terms like “exclusives”, “for your security and safety.” Those who seek to wield power over you, will always use fear 1st and foremost.

Today upon Epic Games updating their Fortnite app with the inclusion of their own payment method, both Apple and Google have removed Fortnite from their respective app stores. Both companies site their app store policies and state that these policies are there to protect their users. What if the truth is something else entirely, lets dive in and examine the issue below.
