ARMs Race | NVIDIA reportedly in “advanced talks” to acquire ARM

Softbank’s ARM Ltd., which designs the ARM instruction set for numerous chip makers like Qualcomm, Samsung, Apple, Microsoft and others is reportedly attracting takeover interest from a number of high-profile suiters, one of which is reportedly in advanced talks with ARM.

According to Bloomberg, NVIDIA is in “advanced talks” about a takeover deal. The phrase “Blood in the water” comes to mind as other potential bidders could emerge in a takeover bid for what is the most important company in silicon today.
