Minecraft Dungeons | Jungle Awakens DLC dropping July 1st

Minecraft’s brand-new experience, Minecraft Dungeons will be receiving new content on July 1st.

In what is the first of two planned DLC’s, the first is called ‘Jungle Awakens.’ Jungle Awakens will be free for those who purchase the Hero Pass. “In this adventure, you’ll enter a distant, dangerous jungle to fight a mysterious power in three new missions. To defeat the terrors hidden among the vines, you’ll have new weapons, armor, and artifacts at your disposal,” via a blog post.

New Mobs

There are new mobs in the Jungle Awakens DLC like, Leapleaf, Jungle Zombie, Poison Quill Vine and more. Mojang Studios says “Once you’ve had enough of the jungle heat, you’ll explore some frozen peaks in Creeping Winter!”

Cross Platform Play

Mojang Studios have confirmed in this post that cross-platform play is coming and that there will be more details in the coming weeks.

Availability

Minecraft Dungeons is available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass (for which XCloud is said to be included). PS4 and Nintendo Switch listings are only available via the PlayStation Store and Nintendo Game Store respectively. You can find links to Xbox Game Pass, PC and Xbox listings from both Amazon and Best Buy below.

Note: Buying the Xbox version gets you the PC version as well. Minecraft Dungeons is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, which means the game will be available for you to play on your PC and your Xbox.
