YouTube announced today, a new feature that is in the same spirit as the existing ‘Take a Break’ reminders and part of Google’s larger ‘Digital Wellbeing’ imitative.
YouTube’s Bed Time feature is aim at those who spend a lot of time watching videos at night and Google wants to help you use its products responsibly, especially as many of us are starring a screens more than ever. Bedtime reminders enable you to set “specific times to stop watching videos and (you guessed it!) go to bed.
You set start and end times in your Settings, including whether or not you want the prompt to interrupt a video or wait until the video is over. You’ll also be able to dismiss or snooze the reminder,” the company wrote on its blog.
YouTube will be available starting today in its iOS and Android apps.
