You can now circumvent Google and download ProtonVPN from F-Droid

The ProtonVPN Android app was only available through Google’s gates, the Google Play Store, but now privacy conscience users have another option available.

So, what is F-Droid? F-Droid is a large repository of free and open source Android APK’s. F-Droid enables users to circumvent Google and their data collection practices.

The ProtonVPN app is actually re-built be F-Droid using ProtonVPN’s publicly available open source code. Proton makes the code available so that it can be freely audited for hidden backdoors and security vulnerabilities.
