Microsoft has confirmed during Microsoft Build today that some of Windows 10X’s innovations are coming to the current version of Windows 10.

Microsoft today reaffirmed its commitment to Windows 10, “At Build, Windows has always been the most important platform for us.” In 2021, Microsoft will need to figure out how to manage two versions of Windows side-by-side with consumer confusion sure to complicate things.

There is no word on which Windows 10X “innovations” will make to Windows 10, but it will likely include platform improvements like faster Windows updates and the ability to run Win32 programs within a secure sandboxed environment. Microsoft said that they will share more starting this summer.
