The Data Transfer Project | Facebook tool enables photo and video transfer to Google Photos
As part of a The Data Transfer project initiative, many companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft and others are taking part in, Facebook announced a tool that lets you transfer you Facebook photos over to Google Photos.
The tool is available in the US and Canada starting today, as according to The Verge, it will let you transfer photos and videos to Google Photos.
Like we mentioned above this move is in keeping with the spirit of the Data Transfer Project and will help people move more easily between services, thus breaking a certain amount of lock-in on each of the platforms that are participating.The companies participating are Microsoft, Twitter, Apple, Google and Facebook.
Want to transfer your Facebook content to Google?
The tool is under Facebook Settings > Your Facebook Information

> Transfer you photos and videos > Choose your destination (only Google Photos is available at the moment)

> Choose photos or videos, it will only let you do one at a time >

> connect your Google account >

>Confirm your choice

>Then transfer your media to Google and you’re done.
