Zoom hits 300 million users amid privacy concerns

Zoom has announced that its service has now surpassed 300 million daily Zoom meeting participants. That is a huge jump in less than a months time where they reported 200 million users.

One distinction to point out is how Zoom says they are counting these numbers. Zoom says in the blog post that it counts daily meeting participants, So if you had three Zoom meetings today then you were counted three times.

This growth comes at a time when becuase of so much privacy and security backlash Zoom decided to self-impose a 90-day new feature freeze, to address the many issues they have had. Zoom shared some of the progress they have been making over the past week in the blog post and what they are planning next week.
