Hangouts Chat is now just ‘Google Chat’

Google seems to be erasing the ‘Hangouts’ name from G Suite. Just yesterday we reported that Google was rebranding Google Hangouts Meet to just ‘Google Meet’. This latest change can be found in an updated G Suite support doc. Fear not Hangouts fans, it will live on for consumers, a spokesperson confirmed.
