Apple just launched ProRes RAW in beta for Windows this week. ProRes RAW is suite of codecs which is the native file format for Final Cut Pro on MacOS, enables the playback of video files.
ProRes RAW is currently compatible with:
- Adobe After Effects (Beta)

- Adobe Premiere (Beta)
- Adobe Premiere Rush (Beta)
“When you store a clip in the ProRes RAW format rather than in a proprietary camera raw format, you get more control over the processing of the image, including demosaicing, linear-to-log conversions, and custom LUTs,” says Apple in a support article for ProRes RAW.
